Mission and Evangelism committee

The Mission and Evangelism Committee is focused on spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to the wider community. Through outreach programs, missions, and evangelism events, the committee works to fulfill the church’s calling to share God’s love with everyone.

The Christian Ministry ‘. It is added that the basis of Christian Ministry is Christ’s Ministry of out-reaching lore. Christian Ministry is the expression of mind and mission of Christ by a community of believers and demonstrates a common life of gratitude and devotion, witness and service, celebration and discipleship. It concludes that all Christians are called to the Ministry of Servant hood in the world to the glory of God and for the actualization of fulfilled humanity.

  • Co-opted not more than (3) persons appointed for their expertise, and with known interest in mission are evangelism

FUNCTIONS OF THE PARISH EVANGELISM COMMITTEE

  1. Encouraging, strengthening and persuading people to come to Jesus Christ Lord and Saviour and be reconciled with God.
  2. Initiating and organizing evangelistic rallies and conventions in the parish with a view of wining souls for Christ.
  3. Organizing refresher courses and seminars for missioners with a view of providing trainings for trainers (TOTs)
  4. Receiving reports and requests on evangelistic activities and assistant in organizing such activities
  5. To encourage ecumenical participation with neighboring churches both vocally an abroad as much as it could be possible.
  6. Ensuring that special groups such as students, prisoners, the sick in hospitals the police service, the defence forces, the civil servants, the handicapped and marginalized are evangelized.
  7. Observing the Nendeni Sunday/9 Mission week so that the event is effectively conducted and report submitted to the Kirk Session and to the presbyterial level.
